Why the battery life of electric cars will shrink in winter?

Is it possible to charge an electric car at home?
Yes, it should come with a Level 1 charger. This can plug into a regular outlet (e.g. 120V) and charge your car. It won’t charge very fast, though. You can also purchase and install a Level 2 charger, which will charge 3–4x faster.
What are EV charging cables made of?
The conductors are usually copper. Some use aluminum. There is also elastomer insulation and sheathing and often steel or alloy cable core and/or woven shielding for strength and EMI protection. Some cables have cooling fluids running in tubes inside them. There are often some inert plastic fillers.
